Overview of the XFdtd Circuit Element Optimizer

XFdtd 3D Electromagnetic Simulation Software analyzes antenna and matching circuit structures using the full wave Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) simulation method.  XF’s Circuit Element Optimizer utilizes full wave analysis to select the component values for a given printed circuit board (PCB) layout.   


Traditionally, RF engineers have had to simplify and idealize their matching circuits in schematics that are separated from the EM simulation.  The Circuit Element Optimizer allows engineers to optimize lumped circuit element values directly in the EM layout where the coupling from multiple antennas and the ground return current paths are taken into account.
